UCC 70's Re-union

Memories

What are your memories of UCC. There were the people of course, both staff and students many of whom we have already listed. There was the school itself but there were the many events and incidents which were the highs and lows of school life.

Sian Lewis has memories of when the Choir went to the recording studio but has lost her copy of the recording. If anyone can send her a copy please email her at sianlewis22@hotmail.com

Do you remember:

  • when UCC was banned from visiting Warwick Castle in 1974
  • Mr Tower's Fido collection
  • the Youth Centre
  • the opening of the new library
  • the open air pool which was used for about 2 weeks in the year
  • Mr Wilkin's Scalextric
  • the cricket team
  • Gladys, the formidable lady who used to keep us all in line in the dinner queue
  • Noyes Fludde
  • having to stand in the quad with your hands on your head if you'd been naughty
  • the horrible cross country run we had to do in Springback Way
  • Nigel Kermode and Derek Janes famous 100 mile tandem ride
